The xbox allows you to use your gamer profile on some recent computer games such as "Dawn of War 2" allowing you to gain achievements and talk to your friends without having to be on the xbox. The xbox has brought new features such as the media centre allow you through an Internet connection to connect to your windows media centre and let you listen and watch all of your music, videos, pictures, music and even TV without taking up any extra memory on your xbox console. the following is a picture of the media centre:
The xbox also has a great online community with frequent public posts and comedy sketches such as "Red V Blue" this keeps the online community buzzing and brings a bit of life to the marketplace instead of only having advertising and business orientated videos this is where i think that the PlayStation is lacking as the only step that they have taken towards anything community driven is "little big planet" which was a big hit otherwise it is a very dull online community.

The Xbox 360 team have been updating their console every couple of months to bring you up to date in the market the dashboard originally looked like the following but has since changed.

The xbox now has updated the dashboard to have a video market place that enables you to watch films, games trailers and keeps you up to date with what is happining in the games industry to date. They have also givin an option to create your own avatar and recently has been updated so that you can buy new clothes and accessories for your avatar. Compared to the ps3 and wii the xbox is consistantly updating its console and improving on its interface whereas the ps3 and wii have not seen such dramatic changes to their consoles. An other issue i would like to address is that for online capabilitys and community the xbox wins outright gamepro.com has reported that xbox has hit the 6 million mark compared to ps3s measely 1.3 million.

Is the only console to have a mmo. Halo. Excellent interface. Xbox is cheaper. You can purchase old xbox games on the market place. Gives up to date news on the games industry. You can rent films. Has a much more active and nicer online community. Had to make a slim line and make it cheaper to get more people to buy the ps3. wii has the worst graphics possible in a next gen games console and you grow out of it quickly.
